Just Imagine!

Welp, the end of August is nearing, and we just finished our last themed week for the summer before starting our two weeks of back to school. We decided to end it with Just Imagine! A week where we can imagine things are more than they seem, and we can be anything we want to be!

We started our week with a dress up day that allowed the kids to use their imagination! We had princesses, PJ Mask characters, Batgirl, and many more.

We had a special guest this week, a magician! He did so many unexplainable magic tricks and he even had a bunny that the kids could pet.

We read a book called Not A Box and had the kids do an activity with a cardboard box to see what they could make of it. Turns out the box was certainly more than a box!

We ended our week with a fairy dust snack for our classroom brought to us by real fairies!

While we’re sad to see summer go, we are so ready for our back-to-school time! Get ready and stay tuned for information about our back-to-school night!

There are just a few more days to vote for us for Best of Parenting magazine for the 15th year in a row! To vote, please use the QR codes above the sanitization stations or the big code on our front desk. With our Academy families, we know that we can do it!

Chopped Jr.

Our summer is coming to a close, but it’s not quite over yet! We still have some fun under our sleeve! Last week’s theme was Chopped Jr. Each of our classrooms has so many fun food themed activities planned for the week.

We kicked off our week with a chef hat making activity! Every Chef needs a good Chef hat, so what better way to start our week? After that, our classrooms played a pizza making game where they got to pick from a pizza menu and put it together! If only it was real pizza ðŸ˜‹ Our PreK 2 class sorting vegetables game. Our Preschool 1 class washed vegetables in their sink to show the importance of eating clean food! And we ended our week with a s’mores kit grab n go for our families to take home, assemble, and enjoy.

It’s the middle of August! There’s only a few weeks left to vote us for Best of Parenting magazine for the 15th year in a row. If you have yet to vote, you can still do so by scanning the big QR code on our front desk or any of the codes above our sanitizing stations in the enrichment room. We can do this!

Lego Land Week!

Hey, y’all! Last week was SUCH a fun week with our kids as, for a lot of them, it was their last week before moving up to “big kid class”! While we are so sad to see them go, we are so proud to see them grow!

Last week happened to be Lego Week, which was action-packed. We started out our week with a Lego building challenge that included all of our classrooms. We also had them spell out their names with legos! This was a GREAT challenge for our kids and they certainly pulled through to spell their names! We got our Preschool and PreK classes moving with a dance party featuring Lego Man live and in person! And to finish the week, we had an interactive Grab n’ LeGO snack for our families to take home. What a fun week it was!

It’s August! This means we’re past the nomination period for Best of Parenting and we’re on to voting. You can vote for us for Best of Parenting for the 15th year in a row by scanning the QR codes we have above the sanitizing stations in our enrichment room or the big one on our front desk.

Wishing everyone a great rest of your week!

PreK Prom!

It’s that bittersweet time of year! The time when we are both so so proud of our kids who are going to Kindergarten and also so sad to see them grow up and move onto the next step. We held such a sweet ceremony of graduation for 13 of our PreKers. They sang songs for their parents, walked the stage, and received their PreK Diplomas.

The night of graduation day, we continued the celebration with PreK Prom! This year our theme was pirates and mermaids and we went all out with the decorations, food, a live DJ, balloon animals, face painting, magic wands, and pirate hooks.

All of our kids dressed up for the event! We had pirates, mermaids, and even one parrot.

The kids had such a blast, thought it did take a few songs for the parents to get up and dance, but our DJ really knew how to get everybody moving. Soon enough we had everyone up doing the Cha Cha Slide! I don’t know how we’re going to top this next year!

It’s August! Which means that nominating time is over for Best of Parenting. Thank you to everyone who nominated us! Now it’s voting time! You can still use the QR codes we have up in our enrichment room to vote for us for BOP. Let’s do it!

Mud Day

 Mud Day!

All summer we’ve been having weekly water days, but with water day over, it was time to switch it up. Today we had Mud Day!

We got big tubs of mud and let the kids go at it! Some our classes were skeptical at first, but once they got into it, they had a lot of fun!

And some classes weren’t skeptical at all like our PreK1 class!

This was a great way to end our summer water days as we slowly transition into back to school time during August.

Here’s a friendly reminder that we’re still in the nominating stage of us winning Best of Parenting again! It would mean so much for y’all to nominate us! If you haven’t gotten the chance, you can still do so by scanning any of the QR codes above our hand sanitizing stations in the enrichment room or the big one on our front desk. Have a great Friday and a great weekend!
