Soapy Scientists!

When children conduct science experiments it activates their critical thinking and reasoning skills. Today, the children in our Preschool 2 class made bubbles during a soapy science experiment! They had a blast using their critical thinking skills to figure out how to change the size of the bubbles! They also increased their communication skills while talking to the teacher about how much dish soap to add! What fun!

Take and Make Valentine's Day Boxes

Today our friends here at The Academy of Powell Place enjoyed a take and make station to get everyone in the mood for Valentine's Day! We had templates available for magical unicorn boxes, love bug monster boxes, and feel the love EMOJI boxes! Everyone was so excited and talked all day about what kinds of boxes they were going to make for our parties on Thursday! We have some friends making kitty cats, Elmo, Paw Patrol, SING!, and so many more inspired works of art! We love days where our friends can get crafty and make things their own!

Infant Puppet Time!

When children engage with puppets it can stimulate their imagination, encourage creative play, and improve language and social-emotional development. Using puppets during song or story time can help children connect to the song or story on a deeper level! Today our Infant 1 room enjoyed puppet time while their teachers sang "Five Green and Speckled Frogs"! The infants loved watching the puppets during puppet time! What fun!
