Pre-K Graduation

a rainbow of possibilities

It was so hard to say good-bye to our Pre-K friends on Friday! Some of our friends have been attending school here since 2015 and it feels like yesterday, they just started. Time sure flies. But we couldn't let them leave without showering them with gifts and memories they can keep forever.

We had a total of 8 kids to walk across the stage and receive their certificate of completion. Everyone was so proud and happy to see them grow up to be at the point that they will start “big-kid” school soon.

Although we are social distancing, we opened the enrichment room for parents and sibling and hosted a live screening of the graduation on our Instagram page. This allowed grandparents, and any other family members to view graduation from home. Many of the families really appreciated this gesture.

Ms. Madison and Ms. Faith, our Pre-K 2 teachers, were more than proud and they are already sad to see them go. All our friends will definitely be missed.

Voting Time

Time to Vote!
The time has come again where we ask that our families, friends, and staff help to vote the Academy of Powell Place for Best of Parenting 2020.

Every year Parent Magazine host nominations and voting for the Middle Tennessee area to reward the school with the Best of Parenting.
Here is how they do it.

Welcome to our annual reader's poll, the BEST OF PARENTING!
We want to hear who you think are the best of the best in Middle Tennessee!  From ice cream to day care, dance classes to local day camps, your opinion matters to other families who are looking for products and services.  So speak up and vote for your favorites today!
Nominations are accepted from July 1 through July 28, 2020.  On August 1, we will put the top 10 nominations in each category up for voting.  If there were fewer than 10 nominations in a category, we will put up the top five.  Voting will continue through August 31, 2020.  We will publish the winners here on our website on November 1 and in the November issues of NashvilleWilliamsonRutherford and Sumner Parent magazines.

Mad Scientist Week

Visit from a Mad Scientist!

On yesterday, we received a visit from Mr. Bond the Mad Scientist. He came in to show our friends just how much fun we could have doing science experiments and learning at the same time. Many of our friends were more than impressed and thrilled to see all the cool things being created right before their eyes! This was a successful Mad Scientist Day! So much to come this week.

Red, White & Blue!

Ready for The 4th of July

Red, White & Blue has been the theme all week. Our little friends at school have all shown just how ready they are for this Independence Day! It has been such a thrill to see all our friends joining together wearing the colors of our flag!
