Winter Activity

Elsa ❄️ Hands 🙌 Activity 

Winter is upon us and we want to make sure we capture fun with activities from our kids favorite winter movie Frozen 🥶! Everyone loved the characters and the songs in the movie so we decided to have an activity called Elsa Hands. 

This activity includes a gloves with water and winter decor such as blue and white snowflakes ❄️ with glitter and marbles. We frozen the gloves to look like Elsa’s hands and the kids were able to tough and feel until the hands were unfrozen! 

They all loved it! Sensory play is always the best! Next week, they all can’t wait to have a visit from another Frozen character, Olaf! ⛄️

Classroom Highlights!

Learning 🔤 & Playing 🤹‍♂️

This week, we want to shine the spotlight on our Toddler 2 teacher Ms. Taylor! She has just recently started but has transformed her classroom into a wonderland that and has brought a contagious happiness to her little ones 👶 ! 

Her parents have been so excited 😆 to hear about their little ones day everyday and see all that they’ve learned! They are learning so much and having more fun than ever before! We just want to say thanks to Ms. Taylor! 

Fitness Day

Fitness Day: Yoga 🧘‍♂️ 

All month long at the Academy, we are going in a Fitness 🏃‍♀️Journey! Every week, we will have a fitness day in celebration 🎉 of Fitness Fanatics Month! 

Today’s fitness day activities was yoga! Every class received poses to do with their classes and our older classes were able to do yoga 🧘 in our enrichment room. The yoga video as themed to the movie frozen 🥶! All our friends loved it! We’ll all be fit soon!

Safety During the Holidays

During the holidays, we at the Academy know that you all want to be around your family and friends. But this year it may have to look a little different. Below I have a small message from CDC about holiday guidelines that everyone should consider.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been stressful and isolating for many people. Gatherings during the upcoming holidays can be an opportunity to reconnect with family and friends. This holiday season, consider how your holiday plans can be modified to reduce the spread of COVID-19 to keep your friends, families, and communities healthy and safe.

CDC offers the following considerations to slow the spread of COVID-19 during small gatherings. These considerations are meant to supplement—not replace—any state, local, territorial, or tribal health and safety laws, rules, and regulations with which all gatherings must comply.

Getting into the Christmas Spirit

Christmas 🎄 Sweater Day!

The weather has been nice and cold these last few days, so we decided today would be a great day to wear sweaters! Hosting an Ugly Sweater Day at school was definitely a success! 

To get into the Christmas 🎄Spirit, we had wear your Ugly Christmas Sweater to school today! Lots of our friends and teachers participated! They all looked so nice in their “Ugly Christmas Sweaters”!

School Wide Activity

Christmas Tree Fun

For a school-wide activity, we asked all the teachers to prepare ornaments with and for every kid to add to our school’s Christmas Tree. All the teachers were super creative with their ideas and it turned out to be such an awesome and filled Christmas Tree. Even our little infant babes created some mistletoe ornaments.

Getting our friends to come to the tree and add their own ornaments was a blast for them. It has been so fun to do school-wide crafts that everyone can participate in and we can see a huge result. This was the best idea yet.
