TWIN DAY!

Last week to kick off Spring time, we had a twin day throughout the school. Our teachers and little ones dressed alike and were very excited about it.

It’s the small things that make school fun. Many kids were happy to see the teachers dress alike. Twin Day was just a good day!

Virtual Zoo

ZOO DAY!

Social distancing has not stopped our fun at the Academy. For the next couple weeks, we are exploring animals, traditional songs, and changes around us. Today we had a Virtual Zoo Tour.

Our original plan was to have the zoo come visit our school and bring some cool animals. But in the mist of what has happened in the world, they allowed us to have a virtual zoo tour with them. Our friends were amazed! It was a cool experience.

Feeding Nature

Nature Still Needs Us!

Although the world is going through many changes, we must remember that nature still needs us. Since the recent events have occurred, many places have seen changes in their environments that are good. Here at the Academy, we still want to help as much as possible.

Our Pre-K 2 class took that statement and did what many of us forgot about. On yesterday they all took a nature walk and filled the bird feeders. It seemed like a pretty small and easy job to some, but the birds were so grateful, and the children were able to see that when multiple birds ate from their bird feeder. Sometimes it’s the small things that count the most.

HAPPY Mother’s DAY

In honor of Mother’s Day, we hosted a Mother’s Day raffle for our wonderful moms. Our moms were asked to send in their favorite motherhood memory to be entered into the raffle. We had lots of stories. To help with social media traffic, we posted a video of the raffle winner on our Instagram page!

Teacher Appreciation Week

We Love Our Teachers at AOPP!

This week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week! Our theme was “Dream like a Bohemian, work like a Boss!” Our teachers loved it and I know they were so grateful to feel appreciated. We also let our teachers dress in Bohemian themed clothing and they were super fashionable. Each day we celebrated the teachers in a different way.

Monday was Motivational Monday! This day was designed to tell our teachers “Thank You” for all their hard work.

Tuesday was Artistic Tuesday! This day was designed to let our teachers express themselves and show off their artistic abilities.

Wednesday was Wildflower “Wild Child” Wednesday! This day was designed for our teachers to take flowers in honor of how precious and unique they all are.

Thursday was Therapeutic Thursday! This day was designed to give the teachers tools and items to relax with at home and at school.

The last day was Fill-up Friday! This day was designed to show our teacher love through food! A nice basket of food always warms hearts!

This was by far an awesome week and we have the best Teacher in the world!
